Legacy is a rocambole hardneck variety of gourmet garlic brought to Canada from German immigrants. It has a spicy hot flavour and is excellent for roasting or baking. Each bulb produces seven to 12 cloves. It peels easily and stores for four to six months.

Garlic is a commonly available herb and dietary supplement that has been used medicinally for thousands of years. Its traditional use has been documented in ancient Egyptian texts dating back to 1550 B.C.
